Volunteering with Team East Lothian

Would you like to help Team East Lothian athletes reach their full potential?

Would you like to gain experience and knowledge from our talented and well qualified coaches?

Would you like the opportunity to gain some personal development/training?

If you answered yes to any, or all of these questions, get in touch and become a Team East Lothian Volunteer!  Whether you are currently one of our teenage athletes, a parent or if there is someone you know who would be interested in a voluntary role, we would love to hear from you/them.

I started my coaching career as a volunteer and have now completed my Level 2 Athletics Coach Qualification and have attended a number of continued professional development courses. I just love being involved in Athletics.  I get a great sense of pride and achievement when I see any of the Team East Lothian athletes achieving. Whether it is a PB, winning a race or throws/jumps competition or managing something they have set as a personal goal, no matter how big or small it is a wonderful feeling to have been part of that athlete’s journey.

I have met some amazing people through volunteering and learned so much from them over time.  At Team East Lothian we already have a number of volunteers both at the track/field side with coaching and behind the scenes on Trustee and Management committees keeping everything afloat.  Team East Lothian would not be able to continue if it wasn’t for these fabulous people.

However, there is always room for more, so if you would like to help, please get in touch with me.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Lynda Gilroy,
