TEL at the Scottish Schools Indoor Champs – 4/5 Feb 2026

Scottish Schools Indoor champs were held on Wednesday 4th and Friday 5th February at the Emirates. We had a great turnout with 15 athletes swapping their TEL vests to compete for their school.

U20

A great gold medal for Fraser Lupton in the 800m with a time of 1:54.92.

U18

A super silver medal for Joe Smith in the 1500m with a PB of 4:04:81.

Ben Anderson equaled his PB of 7.55 in the 60m heat and qualified for the semis. He then ran a PB of 7.53 to finish 9th . He also finished 9th in the long jump with a distance of 5.70m

David Hunter qualified for the semis of the 60m, finishing 14th with a time of 7.59 in the heats and 7.67 in the semis.

Thomas Gornall ran a big PB of 10:04.34 in the 3000m to finish 9th.

Frank Brown finished 16 th in the 1500m in a time of 4:30.13.

Heidi Nicholson ran a PB of 1.04:26 in the 400m to finish 19th.

U16

Erin Porter smashed her PB in long jump to finish 4th with a distance of 5.06m.

Tom Ibbs qualified for the final of the 1500m, finishing 4th with a PB of 4:20.74.

Frank Orsi ran a PB of 40.11 in the 300m to qualify for the final where he finished 6th with a time of 40.56

Poppy Ward qualified for the final in shot, finishing 8th with a throw of 8.97.

Kate Douglas threw a PB of 6.02m in the shot to finish 18th .

U14

Adam Connolly smashed his PB in the 60m with a time of 8.63. This earned him a place in the final, finishing 8th .

Nina Millar ran a great PB of 9.45 in the 60m, finishing 38 th overall. She also jumped a PB of 3.93m in long jump, finishing 17th.

Carly Douglas finished 25th in the long jump with a PB of 3.3m. She also ran the 60m in a time of 10.21.
