Despite challenging weather and course conditions, Team East Lothian delivered some strong performances last weekend at the Lindsays Scottish National Cross Country Championships 2017 in Callendar Park in Falkirk.
Cera Gemmell continued to show great form by taking 3rd place and collecting the bronze medal in the U15 Girls Championships.
Angus Wright, competing in the U13 Boys race, finished a very impressive 5th, and with a number of years still to go in that category, is an exciting prospect for the future.
In the U13 Girls race, Bridget Harley finished well in 13th and like Angus, is lining up to deliver some great results in the future.
As conditions underfoot began to deteriorate further, Joe Donnelly, Cameron Bullen and Robbie Anderson ran well in a hotly contested Boys U15 race with Joe leading the TEL group home in 31st place.
With the rain coming back on again, Fraser Kelly and Eric Gallagher took on the course, the elements and some of familiar competition, with Fraser leading home in 38th place in a tough field.
The entire event was hugely impressive with quality athletes throughout the age groups competing in record breaking numbers. Full results can be found on the Scottish Athletics website
