TEL athletes compete at the Scottish Schools’ Indoor Track & Field Championship.

Twenty-six TEL athletes contributed to their schools’ success at the two-day Scottish Schools’ Indoor Track and Field Championships. TEL Athletes from Dunbar Grammar School; Musselburgh Grammar School; Preston Lodge High School; North Berwick High School and Portobello High School travelled to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow to compete over multiple events.

Grace Brennan (TEL – GWC) took 1st place in the Pole Vault with a fantastic jump of 2.57m, also a Personal Best.

Flora Henry (TEL – PHS) took strong second places in both the U16G 800m and 1500m in 2m21s and 4m51s respectively with new Personal Bests for both events.

Joe Donnelly (TEL – NBHS) won the Over16B 800m B Final in 2m02s.

Eloise Gray (DGS – TEL) came a strong fourth in the Over16G 200m in 26m18s.

There were many Personal Bests throughout the championship.  Lewis Goodall (TEL – PLHS) made it to the Over 16B 60m and 200m semis, just missing out on the finals, gaining new PBs of 7.395s and 23m05s respectively. Personal Bests also for Cameron Bullen (TEL – DGS) in the Over16B 1500m; Corey Campbell (TEL – DBS) U16B 1500m & 800m; Aiden Page (TEL – DGS) U16B 800m; Marcia Callander (TEL – HBHS) U16G 60m and 60m hurdles and Cameron Smith (TEL – PLHS) Over16B 400m.

There were great performances also from Esme Callander (TEL – NBHS) in the Over16G 1500m; Fraser Kelly (TEL – DGS) Over16B 1500m; Lilly Middleton (TEL – PHS) U16G 200m and 60m; Cristina Elliot (TEL – PHS) U16G 200m; Euan Grierson (TEL – MGS) U16B 200m; Elana Kerr (TEL – DGS) Over16G Shot Put; Lochie Milne (TEL – DGS) U16B Shot Put; Lucy Thomson (TEL – DGS) U16G 300m and 60m; Amy Paul (TEL – DGS) U16G 300m; Esme Slifer (TEL – PHS) U16G 300m and 60m; Catriona McPheat (TEL – DGS) Over16G 300m; Adam Hoole (TEL – MGS) Over16B 60m hurdles and High Jump; Laura Buchan (TEL – MGS) U16G 60m and Long Jump; Niamh Richards (TEL – DGS) U16G 800m; Lucy Brand (TEL – PHS) U16G High Jump and Evie Welsh (TEL – DGS) U16G High Jump.
