Team East Lothian’s Maria Lyle claimed two Gold medals at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

First was her outstanding performance to take the Gold Medal in the T35 100m on Sunday in a time of 14.62s.

She then took the championships by storm, claiming a second Gold Medal in the T35 200m in a time of 30.33seconds.

Talking to the press about her 100m win, Maria said “I’m so happy.  There were a few stumbles at the start of the race so to pull off a performance like that it means so much.  It gives me confidence going into the Paralympic year.”
