Join the Festive East Lothian Open Cross Country Run – 15 December 2024

Join us for a festive cross country run over an undulating rural course – with compulsory festive adornments, such as a Santa hat!

2.5k cross country route for under 11 athletes

5k for under 17 athletes

7.5km route for seniors and masters athletes   

Please note that the route is NOT SUITABLE FOR SPIKES. 

Where? WhiteKirk Hill Resort, North Berwick, EH39 5PR – There is ample parking within Whitekirk Hill car park. Please ensure you park courteously and do not block the road or paths for other users.

How do I enter? The event is online entry, (although we may offer entry on the day depending on numbers).  Costs are £8.50 for adults and £4.50 for children. For non-scottishathletics members there is an additional £2 levy. Entries close on Sunday 8th December.

What happens on the day?

  • Registration and number collection will be on the day.
  • Registration will open at 9:00am.
  • Whitekirk Hill have generously offered their internal toilets for use, but please be considerate with dirty and/or wet shoes.

Race Start Times:

  • Children U11 – 2.5k (1 lap) – 10:00
  • Children U13-U17 – 5k (2 laps) – 10:30
  • Adults 7.5k (3 laps) – 11:15

Prizes and Results: All under 11 runners will receive a medal and prize. There will be prizes for the top 3 Male and Female runners across the age categories, U13, U15, U17, Senior and for the winners of the master V40, V50 and V60. The race is manually timed and results will be posted as soon as possible after the event.
