Wright receives Scotland call-up

Team East Lothian athlete, Angus Wright has been selected to represent Scotland in the U18s for the Home Countries Youth International, a hill running race to be held in Ambleside on 24 July.

The junior hill running league race, held at Luss on Saturday 19 June, was the selection event. It was a testing hill run at the spectacular Loch Lomond location, with the U17 and U20 age groups covering a distance of 6km, with a gruelling 330m climb. The course is on the side of Cruach Dubh, through fields and steep boggy ground.

Angus had a strong run against tough competition, finishing in 3rd place to gain selection in the Home Countries Youth International. The event has been downsized due to Covid and will be a GB Home Countries and Ireland International, with a few other individual entries from Europe.
